If you are looking for the ultimate in 3D gaming monitors then the BenQ XL2420TX may be exactly what you are looking for. Here you get a monitor that has 3D Vision built right into the display. Combine this with 2ms response time and a 24” display screen and you can see why this sleek number is so popular in the gaming world.
This is not a cheap gaming monitor. Really, to spring for the $500 price tag you have to be a committed gamer, but the quality is really that awesome. While the price may seem to be a bit steep, when you realize that the built in 3D vision means that you don’t have to fiddle around with an external IR reader to make the Nvidia 3D Vision glasses to work properly (and you are going to want them to work properly, they really make your 3D movies and games sing!)
Maybe if I’d already had a 3D vision set I would have opted for the XL2420T model which is $100 less expensive than the TX and exactly the same except that it doesn’t have built in 3D vision. Of course then I would have had to opt for even more clutter around my monitor; more cables to sort out. Having the 3D vision included keeps everything nice and neat, exactly the way I like it.
Another really cool feature about the XL2420TX model is that it has this really cool controller that attaches to the base of the display and automatically changes the display settings. This is another aspect that shows that the designers had gamers in mind when they put this baby together.
• 24” Display Screen
• Built in 3D Vision
• 2ms response time
• Included display setting controller
While the price is on the high side the features that it includes are awesome enough to warrant paying out the extra money. Not only will you get a widescreen monitor on which you can watch 2D and 3D movies but a BenQXL2420TX review will show you that it will enrich your gaming experience considerably.
